Seeding the Movement to Reimagine Agriculture: Our First Seven Years
The Agroecology Fund is in the unique position of supporting and linking some of the most important efforts in the world to change our food system to one that is just and sustainable. From on-the-ground farmer innovations and academic research, to policy change challenging the corporate food economy and supporting its alternatives, the Agroecology Fund supports a better food future for all. This document outlines the impact of the Fund over the past seven years.
From the 10th to the 13th of May 2016, the AgroEcology Fund (AEF) and the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) brought together 70 people representing 30 organizations to share experiences and ideas about amplifying agroecology. Over the course of the Learning Exchange, participants generated many ideas, and they shared valuable knowledge and unique experiences. The insights that emerged as a collective product of this unique gathering of great minds were incredibly rich. This summary presents some of the highlights of these insights.
